2012 Chianti Classico è, 4th edition

This year's event is - as usual - organized by the cooperative of classical Chianti wine: nine days of events, music and wine tasting for real lovers of the Gallo Nero (Black Rooster), on the beautiful hills of Chianti.

The event will take place in different places and towns around the city of Siena, like San Casciano in Val Di Pesa, Greve in Chianti, Radda in Chianti and many others.
On May 27th in Greve in Chianti, almost in conjunction with the kick off of the European football Championship, you can join a curious event where the best goals of football history will be associated to 10 great classical Chianti wines.
On June 2nd visitors can join a special meeting between a classical Chianti wine from Radda in Chianti and a French Bourgogne wine, and you can taste them both, discovering why they are so popular among the wine fans in the world.
Radda in Chianti, Castellina and Greve in Chianti will host a competition for housewives, where the best cooks of Chianti are called to prepare their best recipes, and the audience will decide the winner after tasting these dishes.

During these nine days of wine and culture you can also join, on June 2nd, the fusion between movies and wines: you can actually taste some Chanti wines watching movies inside the ex Cellars Ricasoli in Gaiole in Chianti.
