Strange but true: bringing contemporary art in sacred places of the past and the classics can be. Happens in Siena, where Emilio Farina makes a "scaffolding artist," a work of contemporary art that uses the scaffolding used operationally for the restoration of Bernini's Chapel of the rating. The mise en scene (staging) will be visible until July 31 in precisely the Cathedral.

Ninety strips of paper, 2 meters high and thirty wide and 25 cm, painted and glued onto the base of wooden scaffolding yard for a total of over 30 meters, mirror inserts, foam shapes. The site-specific intervention, that created a place called, is especially attractive in view of dialogue between Siena and contemporary art.

Farina, incidentally, is not new to this type of work, to contemporary installations on buildings and monuments, always carried out in collaboration with organizations and superintendents. The local artists of birth and adoption began with the Roman Pantheon in Rome in 1992 and since then has not stopped since. In 2009 he signed a similar intervention in Siena, once again in the cathedral, with an artist's scaffolding during the restoration of the Piccolomini Library.
