Like every year these days, here again, people from Siena and tourists will be able to see and admire the floor of the Duomo in Siena.

From August 18 to October 31 exceptionally great chance to the public to feel the wonder of "unveiling" of 1,300 square meters made of precious marble inlays (among the most beautiful features of the Cathedral).

It took about five centuries to decorate the floor, by the employment of the anonymous artists of 1300 'til the collaboration of celebrated artists of the nineteenth century, many of them from Siena and the Institute of Fine (except for the Umbrian Bernardino di Betto, called Pinturicchio): between those who have realized the fifty-six scenes made with the technique of marble and graffiti you can find the names of Domenico Beccafumi, Sassetta, Matteo di Giovanni and Francesco di Giorgio Martini.

Hours: daily from 10:30am to 7:30pm.
