Festival Musica Reale - Royal Music Festival

You are going to listen to the genuine King's music during the 5th Festival "Musica Reale" - Royal Music Festival, an event mainly dedicated to chamber music, with international guests and high level artists.

The festival is organized by the association Associazione Musica Reale, and sponsored by the municipality of Montalcino, the province of Siena and Villa di Geggiano. It will take place on 14th and 15th Julyin Siena, inside the theatre Teatro di Verzura by the Villa di Geggiano, and from 18th to 20th July in Montalcino (SI), inside the Teatro degli Astrusi. After last year's success, when Ronald Brautigam and Phil Grabsky came to perform (and Grabsky presented his documentary "In search of Beethoven"), this year's program includes chamber music, as well as classical and contemporary works, from strong>Luigi Boccherini, andFranz Schubert, to Felix Mendelssohn, Dvoràk, Maurice Ravel, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Sir Arthur Bliss, with a lot of concerts.

The concerts will be performed by twelve musicians belonging to the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam, who will follow the direction ofPeter Sokole, art director and creator of the festival, who books different soloists year after year, in order to have the widest range of possible repertoires and a vivid program.

Every concert starts at 19.00pm; before the concerts you can enjoy a happy hour tasting wines and local products in the garden of Villa Geggiano and on the terrace of the theatre Teatro degli Astrusi.
