2012 Girogustando in Siena

This is not just a show, it's a real event: in March 2012 the 11th Girogustando starts its tour, a journey which will lead you all along Italy, looking for the best food.
Siena opens the door of its kitchens to the cooks coming from every part of Italy, in order to prepare the best meals that you can taste. Last year's event was already a success, this year we intend to do more and better, also thanks to many more cooks who will participate. The second and third week of each month, on Wednesday and Thursday (and sometimes even on Friday), in 6 months - from March to June and later from October to November 16th, 2012 - you can virtually visit Italy, "tasting" it while sitting comfortably in a restaurant.

This extraordinary event has an excellent formula, for every night the audience at Girogustando can find a different menu with typical food from different local traditions, and wonderful wines too. Every night gives you the opportunity to discover local food and wine, thanks to some guided tastings led by sommeliers and cooks, as well as the local art, if you will join our "Giro Quiz". The event was created by the association Confesercenti and supported by the Province and the Municipality of Siena.
