2012 Settimana Musicale Senese (Musical Week in Siena)

From July 10 to 16 will be held at the Teatro dei Rozzi and at the Teatro dei Ritrovati the wonderful concerts organized by the Foundation Academy Chigiana for the 69th Settimana Musicale Senese (Musical Week in Siena).

Baroque music, the flagship event of the concert will be represented by "Arie olimpiche", a medley of tunes from the libretto of the "Olympics" of Metastasio different composers from Caldara, Cherubini, Vivaldi, Perez, Cimarosa and Leo, sung by Romina Basso and Ruth Rosique with the Venice Baroque Orchestra conducted by Andrea Marcon.

It also noted the extraordinary concert by maestro Maurizio Pollini, on August 3, in the context of the event.
